Creative Show : Zone 1
The Architectural Theatre.
It was designed to start off with a cultural video, followed by the architectural design statement delivered through a kinetic installation and projection system.
Deliver Architectural Concept : Throughout a Multi-disciplinary, Custom-made Show :
This site-specific exhibition was designed to be an official launch of Raffle City in Chengdu - built by notorious architect Steven Holl. The aim was to deliver the specific architectural statement to participants throughout the showsuite, which utilized multi-disciplinary design practices altogether - ranging from interior design, section planning, content flow, video shooting, motion graphics, kinetic installation, large-scale projection, model making, interactive devices to overall system control. The exhibition intended to relate the audiences with various entry points, such as: cultural aspects, architectural point of views, design and functional information as well.
Narration Planning in Exhibition Space :
A narrative approach was implemented throughout the exhibition, by planning specific content pinpointed in three zones. In Zone 1, an architectural theatre was built. It was designed to start off with a cultural video, followed by the architectural design statement delivered through a kinetic installation and projection system. Zone 2 was dedicated to a visualization show, involving a 15-metre video projection to showcase the life in the complex. In Zone 3, an interactive Installation was set up to further cover specific stories.
Integrating Art Direction, Digital Deliveries and Production Management :
The main challenge of the project was about manipulation of a range of professional skills, including : art direction of the anticipating experience, people flow management, digital deliveries, timing control, system synchronization, etc. As a whole, the exhibition aimed to achieve a high level of all-encompassing art production.
